Joseph Ware Tapp part 5 1890s

Joseph Ware Tapp 1890s

So, I don't have much information for this decade.  There was a census taken in 1890, but there was a major fire that took out almost all of that census information.

1890

Federal Census taken but that information is burned up

In Other NewsBattle of Wounded Knee happens.  Oklahoma organizes as a territory, while Idaho becomes the 43rd state and Wyoming is the 44th state (OurTimelines.com, 2018).

Birth of son Harry Bushrod Tapp.
Once again, no primary source for this birth date and place.  No birth certificate.  However, again, I have five Federal censuses, Iowa State census of 1905, Social Security Death Index, and Draft records for World War I and World War II.  Those are secondary sources.  There is also a tertiary source, which would be Find A Grave.  His Ancestry profile is here.  His Find a Grave memorial created by Charles Bast (Tapp) is found here.

Death of father Bushrod Tapp
He died 16 April 1893 in Toulon, Stark, Illinois.  Some records show he died in Wyoming, Stark County, Illinois.  He is also buried in Toulon Cemetery, Toulon, Stark County, Illinois.   His Find a Grave memorial can be found here.  This is an orphaned memorial, having been added by Alice Wehmhoener.  I have requested management of this memorial.  His Ancestry profile is here.

Death of mother Mary Jane Essex Tapp.
The only source I have for this death is Find a Grave.  She died 14 August 1892, and is buried in Toulon Cemetery, Toulon, Stark County, Illinois.  Her Find a Grave memorial, added by Alice Wehmhoener in 2008, is here.  [As of this date (November 2019) it is an orphaned memorial, and I have requested to maintain it, since she is my direct line ancestor.]   Her Ancestry Profile is here.
