Charles A. Tappe is appointed guardian of Clara Tappe, with bond of $700.  I don't think this is my Tapp, and not because the name is spelled wrong.  It was actually very common to have names spelled differently even for the person himself.  My Charles A. Tapp is the son of Harry Bushrod and Clara Ahrendt Tapp, who also lived in this same area.  He "could" have been appointed guardian for his mother, but his father was still alive at the time, and -- hang on, let me check ... -- nope, this man was born before 1900, while my Charles Tapp was born 1920.

Charles E. Tapp member of Cornet Quartette.  He played a musical Instrument, the Cornet, in a quartette band in Chicago Illinois, and they played "in a pleasing manner." 

Honestly, a cursory search shows nothing else.  All I can say is it was a very shallow attempt.
